Letters From Iwo Jima

Clint Eastwood strikes gold once again. Eastwood has shown that his talents as a filmmaker trounces his talents as an actor. I do feel that this is a top 15 film of this year, and a great companion piece to Flags of our Fathers. I feel that Eastwood creates a beautiful atmosphere, as evidenced in his use of color tones and mixes of color and black and white. He makes the audience feel at the perfect moments, and with the perfect senses. He does this, in all of his films, without ever being pretentious, while another director may accidentally do so. The cast works so well, and so effortless that it empowers the film tenfold. His film is basically showing how people dont want war, and dont want to be the results of their countries. Congrats on another great year for the best director around right now, Mr. Clint Eastwood.
