Away From Her

Director Sarah Polley has great vision and actors Julie Christie and company excel in this beautiful piece of filmwork. It really touches the world of a lover and the pain that accompanies it throughout life. A very good and sincere film here. Polley is a future star, whatever she decides to do. Grade: B-

Knocked Up

This is a very efficient film, that doesnt force-feed us and doesnt baby us. It is surprisingly well-acted. Writer-Director Judd Apatow is one of the best contemporary comedic talents, in a world without many. He strives in telling the truthful story of the underdog without losing its quirkiness and joy. He finds a way to satirie some cultures, while embracing it. His work is not pretentious and tells a real story. The film, like The 40 Year Old Virgin is much more than just a comedy. Good work in a good comedy. Lead actors Katherine Heigl and Seth Rogen deliver, as does a solid group of actors supporting. Grade: B-
